TBT - Time Based Text:
TBT is a free software that vehicles more human-input information in written text.
Original idea and implementation by Jaromil and Jodi.
Record performance time of written text and vehicle it as additional information: saving
and reproducing every single action during the composition of a text let us vehicle emphasis
in written communication. As this simple concept, our implementation is also kept very
minimalistic while we welcome programmers to embed it in communication applications, as in
emails, blogs, visual poetry, slides and what not. I've joined the project in 2007
with my contribution to the the main C/C++ application.
I've also created a PHP class for decodinn TBT format files. I've created the
first website that implementes the TBT format.
plcfetch (C with unixODBC):
This is a UNIX C daemon. I've wrote this for a project of industrial automation in 2005.
It was supposed to run inside a Linux embedded system (developed by myself, see my CV).
It reads data from a PLC using a rs232 serial line. It processes the information
coming from the wire and raises alarms and writes logs writing to a Microsoft SQL Server
using the unixODBC library.
The daemon is free software and can be freely downloadable using CVS.
Here is the CVS web interface.
You can check the source out using these commands:
PHP SambaPasswd (C/PHP):
This is a web interface that allows an user of a Samba Domain to change his password.
It is very useful if you are running a NT domain without using LDAP as back-end
for the accounts.
The project is divided in two parts:
a daemon written in C: it opens a UNIX socket inside the filesystem listening
for connections coming from a client (in this project the client is the PHP web interface).
The daemon need to be setuid'ed because he needs to launch smbpasswd as root user.
a very simple php web interface that talks with the daemon. this interface
implements a catpcha system.
The project is very embryonic, i wrote it to satisfy my personal needs.
I suggest to do a chmod 700 of the daemon.
Linux Kernel Module
Toradex Colibri PXA270 gpio handler:
On June 2007 I wrote, in C language, a Linux Kernel Module for an embedded system based on a Toradex Colibri board (CPU Intel ARM XScale PXA270).
This module controls some status leds and receive the interrupt generated when the user presses some command switches (GPIO pins), sending commands to an
userspace program wrote in C.
Flickr Scripts
flickr_add_to_set:
A perl script to add a host already uploaded on your flickr account to a pre-existent set (Flickr::API CPAN module is required).
Nagios Scripts
check_ssl_cert.sh:
A Nagios script to monitor expiration date of a SSL certificate.
nagios_extcmd.sh:
This script can be used to send external commands to Nagios. It is very handy if you want to perform repetitive operations on a group of hosts
and services. Operations supported are: enable/disable a service checks on a particular host, enable/disable passive checks on a particular host,
enable/disable notifications on a particular host. See script source file for the usage
Other Scripts
Check Traffic (Perl):
This a perl script that uses the libpcap to sniff on a network
interface, it searchs for packets that match with a filter rule
in tcpdump syntax. When the script finds packets that match the
rule, it sends an email. A minimal flooding protection avoids
your mailbox flooding.
Look the source.
Have a look to an example configuration file..
You can checkout the source connecting to my cvs:
"Recchione" for XChat (Perl):
an xchat's perl script that replies "CCHIONE" each time that someone
write "re" or "re all" on a irc channel. "Recchione" is a way
to say "gay" in italian. You can use this script as a
good example to start programing plugins for xchat.
See the source code.
Recchione for Irssi (Perl):
an irssi perl script that replies "CCHIONE" each time that someone
write "re" or "re all" on a irc channel. "Recchione" is a way
to say "gay" in italian. :)
I've written this script as an example hello world script for irssi.
See the source code.
GpgValidator 0.1.3 per Irssi (Perl):
It allows an user of irssi to use GnuPG in order to send encrypted messages
over IRC.
Original xchat implementation by valv`0 (valvoline(at)vrlteam.org /
valvoline(at)freaknet.org), porting to irssi by me.
See the source code.
backup_server.sh (Shell):
A stupid shell script to backup servers using rsync.
